Abel has been cooking in Rincon de Guayabitos for 22 years, 11 of those years at the current site.  He will even cook your catch of the day for you.  Special desserts for groups of 10 or more.

Backstreet Italian Restaurant & Brewing Company   (Full Bar)

Featuring Guayabitos first handcrafted beer brewery with Master Brewer Cliff Piequet.  This is a second location for the every popular Soley’s Italian Restaurant owner Daniel Calluso.  Lovely atmosphere and same high quality food.

Benjas & Tacos   (Mexican)  Full bar.  Two Riviera Nayarit Locations!

Both locations are open year round.  One is located in La Penita, the other in neighboring Lo de Marcos.  Each can be reserved for private parties, seating 24 people comfortably, with one week notice.

 

The are both small, hole in the wall restaurants with Benjas signature colors of bright mustard yellow and blue.  La Penita has street side table dining and a newly expanded terrace area.  Lo de Marcos has additional table dining also in a patio area located in the rear. Meats are all grilled as you order, beef and great chorizo.  Tacos, quesadillas, criminal (kind of like a fajita), stuffed baked potatoes, and a great molcajete bowl with beef or chorizo and veggies.  Great flan for dessert too.

Esteban and family offer specialties like Camaron Misión (shrimp with cheese, bacon, pineapple and veracruz-style sauce), their famous fajitas, and a jumbo shrimp skewer. They also serve fish, shrimp and beef dishes. Their fresh fish is consistently well prepared and always fresh.  Margaritas and Pina Coladas are ample and very tasty.  Meals are prepared when you order and fast service is not their forte but the food is worth the wait.
