Fall Fundraiser
Held annually (with the exception of 2008, the Fall Fundraiser is an
entertaining evening designed to raise funds for Bob and Vickie's Good Works.
Residents both part and fulltime, donate items for a silent auction. H'orderves
are donated and drinks are served. It is a wild evening in support of a great
cause.
2007 Fall Fundraiser
The Hotel California was packed! The food tables were overflowing. Money was rolling in.
175 and more of Jaltemba Bays most generous souls braved the winter weather for
the area's major fundraising event last evening at the Hotel California. In fact
it was a record breaker in many different ways.
The auction items were laid out on tables surrounding one side of the pool.
Wonderful gift baskets, handcrafted items and thoughtful contributions were
donated by members of our community. The food was delicious and plentiful.
A record-breaking grand total of 44,300 pesos was collected at the event which
will go to many of the most needed in Nayarit.
The Jaltemba Express gives special Kudos to those who shared so much to make the
event a huge success. An event of this size and caliber takes an extraordinary
amount of work to plan, organize and deliver. Thank you. Thank you.
We know Jaltemba Bay's residents are great volunteers who give to this community
in so many ways. Thank you again.
A very special thank you to George of the Hotel California for hosting the event
in his hotel and so bravely donning a thong for $200 (and thereby providing the
evenings entertainment) and to Anita and Jerry Ashenbrener for soliciting a
whopping 15650 pesos from friends back home for our community.
Of course a very special thanks to
Vickie and Bob for your good works. Because of your heart and
foresight, we have an avenue to give generously.
